Thurman History

Have you seen our logo and wondered how it came about? The Thurman family lineage can be traced back to an Elisha Thurman who lived in Virginia, British Colonial America in the 1700s. Elisha had an alternate spelling of his last name, Thurmond, which comes from the Old Norse word "þormundr". It is composed of the elements "þórr", name of the Norse god of thunder, Thor, and "mundr" meaning "Protection" - Thor's Protection. We decided to incorporate this History into our company's logo and into our Careers as Electricians
